Uncommon neck armor from the Slimy set. Applies CHA -1, catches incoming projectiles (preventing them from hitting), and deals melee revenge damage when struck. An unusual defensive combination — it neutralizes ranged threats by catching projectiles while punishing melee attackers at the same time. The CHA penalty is minor for most builds. Pairs with the Slimy Mask for doubled projectile-catching and revenge damage coverage.
CatchProjectiles intercepts incoming ranged attacks, removing them before they deal damage. This effectively gives the wearer immunity to projectile-based enemy damage as long as the passive is active, which can completely shut down ranged enemy archetypes. MeleeRevengeDamage retaliates against any melee attacker with reflected damage. Together, the two passives mean both ranged and melee enemies are punished for attacking the cat wearing this piece.
Most effective in encounters with heavy projectile usage, where CatchProjectiles alone can turn what would be a punishing ranged barrage into no damage at all. The CHA -1 penalty is negligible for physical or ability-focused builds that don't rely on charisma. Running the Slimy Necklace and Slimy Mask together stacks two layers of CatchProjectiles and MeleeRevengeDamage, creating a cat that deflects both ranged and melee attacks with exceptional coverage.
