Speedball

A single-use consumable that grants +5 Ranged for the rest of the battle. A solid combat buff for ranged-focused cats, boosting damage output on all ranged attacks for the full fight. Doubles to +10 Ranged with the Stomach trinket, which is a substantial temporary damage spike.

Ranged is the primary stat for ranged weapon damage, so +5 applies to every ranged attack for the entire fight. In long encounters, this stacks up to a meaningful total damage increase across all shots. Unlike burst-damage items, Speedball's value scales with fight length — the more shots fired, the more value extracted per use. Using it alongside Stomach for the doubled effect turns a cat into a temporary ranged powerhouse.

Speedball is best on dedicated ranged attackers, particularly those with high-durability weapons that will fire many times in a fight. Pop it on turn 1 to maximize the number of boosted attacks. It's less efficient on cats with limited-use weapons that fire only once or twice per fight. Combine with the Stomach trinket on a ranged specialist for a +10 Ranged spike that significantly elevates their damage output against bosses or elite encounters.
