Super Dunce Cap

A towering cone of shame that inflicts a savage INT -10 penalty — the most severe intelligence debuff on any single item. Super Dunce Cap erases nearly all INT-based capability, gutting spell power and any ability that scales with Intelligence. In most cases this is a pure downside, but it may have niche applications in builds that intentionally target low-INT thresholds, passive triggers keyed to low INT, or compositions that simply don't use any INT-scaling effects at all.

The INT -10 penalty is fixed and cannot be mitigated by other item bonuses unless those bonuses are large enough to bring INT back into positive territory. Notably, INT affects not just spell damage but also resistance to certain status effects and mental ailments in some builds, so equipping the Super Dunce Cap can leave a cat unexpectedly vulnerable to debilitating conditions.

Most players should avoid equipping this unless running a dedicated physical or DEX/STR build that has zero INT-scaling abilities. For those builds, the head slot is otherwise free and Super Dunce Cap at least occupies it without costing offense. In any magic-adjacent build, it is a dead weight at best and a serious liability at worst.
