A pulsating quest weapon dealing 6 ATK that turns defeated enemies into meat pickups. While wielded, all downed units — including allied cats — immediately perish rather than entering a downed state, completely negating resurrection and necromancy. One of three quest items required to unlock The Throbbing Domain; must be brought to the Wall of Flesh in the Caves. Obtained by defeating Guillotina in her living form. Part of the Meat set.

The meat drop mechanic converts each defeated enemy into a pickup that likely heals or provides a stat bonus, creating an ongoing reward loop for eliminating enemies. However, the instant-death effect on all downed units is a hard counter to any build that relies on Necromancer revival, Eternal status, or other death-cheating mechanics. Friendly cats who are downed during combat with this weapon will not revive, making party survivability critical.

Equip Throbbing Gristle on a durable frontliner who is unlikely to be downed, since the instant-perish on downed allies is your biggest risk. The 6 ATK is solid for a quest weapon and the meat drop economy compensates for the lost revival safety net. Head to the Caves and find the Wall of Flesh quickly to complete the quest delivery, then reassess whether to keep Throbbing Gristle in your loadout or swap to something that allows revival strategies.
