Status Effect
Doomed
Ticks down at the end of your turn. When it hits 0, Die (without being injured).
Doomed is a countdown debuff that kills the afflicted unit when it expires. The stack count reduces by 1 each turn, and when the last stack is removed, the unit dies instantly, regardless of remaining health, shields, or other protective effects. This makes Doomed one of the few truly lethal status effects in the game, requiring immediate attention when applied to your cats.
The number of stacks when Doomed is initially applied determines how many turns the unit has before death. Higher stack counts give more time to respond, while low-stack applications create urgent threats. Doomed can be removed by cleansing effects, making status cleansing abilities and items critical when facing enemies that apply it. The Auto Revive buff can bring a unit back after Doomed kills it, providing a safety net for particularly dangerous encounters.
When applied to enemies, Doomed functions as a powerful delayed execution that ignores all defenses. This makes it especially useful against high-health or heavily shielded enemies that are difficult to kill through conventional damage. The countdown gives the enemy a limited number of turns to act before dying, creating a natural timer on their threat. Doomed is relatively rare compared to other debuffs, but when it appears, it demands immediate attention and strategic planning around its countdown timer.
