Status Effect

Elite Buff: Mega

Takes one less turn per round. +50% health and damage

Internal engine status effect. This is the status applied to elite enemies with the Mega modifier. Mega increases the enemy's overall size and stats significantly, making them a larger, more powerful version of themselves. Mega elites are imposing threats with boosted health, damage, and possibly expanded attack ranges.

The increased size of Mega elites has gameplay implications beyond visual intimidation. Larger enemies may occupy more tiles, block more movement paths, and have wider attack areas. The stat bonuses are broad, covering health, damage, and potentially speed, making Mega one of the most straightforward but universally dangerous elite modifiers.

There is no single counter to Mega since the stat bonuses are spread across multiple categories. Focus on your strongest damage output and use crowd control to limit the Mega elite's actions. The larger hitbox can be an advantage when using area-of-effect abilities, as the expanded size may make them easier to catch in AoE zones. Like all elite buffs, Mega trades 20% max health for its bonuses, though the remaining stats still make it formidable.
