Random Injury

Gain a random injury that lowers one of your stats by 1, permanently.

Random Injury inflicts a randomly selected permanent injury on the affected cat. The injury is chosen from the pool of available injuries and applies its stat penalties immediately, persisting after the run ends just like any injury received from being downed.

Random Injury is a punishing effect that can permanently weaken a cat without even needing to down them first. It bypasses the normal injury mechanic of requiring a knockout, making it especially dangerous. Injury Immunity blocks Random Injury. Treat sources of Random Injury as high-priority threats and avoid them whenever possible, as the permanent stat penalties accumulate and degrade a cat's long-term viability.
