Anxiety

+10% Dodge chance. When you take damage, run away from the source.

Anxiety provides +10% dodge chance but causes your cat to involuntarily run away from the source whenever it takes damage. The dodge bonus is a genuine defensive benefit that helps avoid attacks entirely, while the flee response disrupts positioning by moving the cat away from its attacker after every hit. This creates a cat that dodges some attacks but panics when hit, running away from danger.

Anxiety is heritable and can pass from parent to kitten through breeding. It can also be acquired through events or applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. The +10% dodge is a straightforward evasion bonus that stacks with other dodge sources like Nudist (+50%) and Borrowed Time (+50%). The flee response is similar to Traumatophobia but involves running further away rather than just moving 1 tile, making it more disruptive to positioning.

Strategically, Anxiety is good on ranged cats that benefit from both the dodge chance and the automatic kiting. The flee response naturally maintains distance from attackers, which ranged builds want. Melee cats suffer from the flee mechanic since it constantly pulls them out of attack range. Stacking Anxiety's dodge with Nudist or other evasion sources creates a highly evasive cat. The disorder is a mild net positive for ranged builds and a mild net negative for melee builds, making its value role-dependent.
