Each disorder is a permanent passive that typically grants a meaningful bonus tied to a mechanical condition — such as boosting damage when below half health, granting bonus actions when poisoned, or improving spell potency — at the cost of a stat penalty or a situational downside. Because the disorder is chosen randomly, you cannot guarantee a favorable outcome, but virtually every disorder has some scenario where it provides genuine value.
This syringe pairs excellently with the Disorder Decoder face armor, which reduces all spell costs by 1 for each disorder the wearer has — so stacking multiple disorders through syringes creates a powerful mana economy engine. It also synergizes with the Experimental Treatment sidequest chain. Even without those interactions, a free disorder is usually worth using on a cat with an already solid stat spread, since the downside can be worked around with team composition.
