Injury
Poisoned
CON -1, INT -1
Poisoned is a Special Injury that permanently reduces both Constitution (CON) and Intelligence (INT) by 1. It is caused by being downed while afflicted with the Poison status effect, making it a serious risk in areas with poison-heavy enemies like The Lab and encounters with toxic terrain.
The dual CON and INT penalty makes Poisoned one of the more broadly damaging Special Injuries. CON loss reduces maximum HP, making the cat more likely to be downed again in future fights, while INT loss weakens spell damage and mana scaling. Hybrid cats that split between physical combat and spellcasting suffer the most from Poisoned, but even pure fighters feel the HP reduction.
Poison stacks are common in mid-to-late game areas and can accumulate quickly if not cleansed. The best prevention is carrying Poison-removal abilities or items, especially when exploring areas with heavy toxic presence. Earth-element builds tend to have natural advantages in poison-heavy zones. Like all Special Injuries, Poisoned cannot be healed through rest and requires specific injury-removal effects to cure.
