Disorder
Deja Vu
10% chance to cancel actions.
Deja Vu gives your cat a 10% chance to have its actions cancelled each turn. When the cancellation triggers, the cat's planned action simply fails to execute, wasting the turn without any compensating benefit. This can be devastating in critical moments where a missed heal, attack, or repositioning move could mean the difference between winning and losing a fight.
Deja Vu is a heritable mental disorder that can pass from parent to kitten through breeding. It can also be acquired through random events during adventures or applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. The 10% cancellation rate is identical to the AI control chance from the Fetin disorders, but Deja Vu is strictly worse since a cancelled action does nothing at all, whereas AI control at least attempts to do something useful.
There is no strategic upside to Deja Vu. It is a purely negative disorder with no compensating bonus, making it one of the weakest disorders to have occupying a slot. If your cat has Deja Vu, prioritize replacing it with any disorder that offers at least some benefit, even a mild one. The only silver lining is that the 10% rate is low enough that you will complete most turns normally, so it is annoying rather than crippling. Still, in long boss fights or tightly contested battles, even one lost turn can be fatal.
