Disorder

Dumb

Reduced intelligence

Dumb imposes INT -2 on your cat, reducing its Intelligence stat by 2. Intelligence affects spell damage, mana pool, and the effectiveness of magic-based abilities. The -2 reduction weakens caster cats significantly, reducing their primary damage stat and limiting how many spells they can cast before running out of mana.

Dumb is heritable and can pass from parent to kitten through breeding. It can also be acquired through events or applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. Among the stat-penalty disorders, Dumb targets Intelligence, which is critical for spell-focused builds. Physical damage builds that do not cast spells are largely unaffected by the INT loss.

Dumb is devastating on caster cats but tolerable on melee fighters. If your cat relies primarily on physical attacks and weapon damage, the INT -2 barely matters. On spell-focused cats that need every point of Intelligence for damage and mana, Dumb is one of the worst stat-penalty disorders. Replace it on casters; on physical builds, it is a low-priority replacement since the Intelligence loss has minimal combat impact.
