Head Trauma
You can't equip head armor. Your Collarless spells cost -2 mana.
Head Trauma prevents your cat from equipping head armor but compensates by reducing the mana cost of Collarless spells by 2. Collarless spells are abilities that are specifically enhanced or enabled when certain equipment slots are empty. Without head armor, these spells become cheaper to cast, allowing more frequent spell usage and reducing mana pressure.
Head Trauma is heritable and belongs to the injury category. It can pass from parent to kitten through breeding or be acquired through events and the Organ Grinder's Disorder Syringe. The mana cost reduction on Collarless spells can be significant for caster builds that rely on frequent spell usage. Losing head armor means giving up defensive stats, but the mana savings may offset this for magic-focused cats.
Strategically, Head Trauma is a trade-off disorder that benefits caster cats with Collarless spells. If your cat's best spells are Collarless, the -2 mana cost reduction is extremely valuable, effectively giving you 2 extra mana per cast. The lost head armor slot reduces defense but is worth it for spell-heavy builds. Pair with Wrenched Neck (cannot equip neck armor, double head armor effects) for an interesting interaction, though Head Trauma negates the doubling since there is no head armor to double. For non-caster cats, Head Trauma is a net negative.
