The Common Cold

The Common Cold is a contagious disease that causes your cat to start each battle with All Stats Down, reducing every stat at the beginning of each fight. Unlike more severe contagious diseases, The Common Cold has a 30% chance to recover at the end of each round, making it the most likely to cure itself naturally. The All Stats Down debuff wears off over time, but it puts your cat at a disadvantage in the opening turns.

The Common Cold is heritable and contagious, spreading to other party members during adventures. It can be acquired through events or applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. The 30% self-recovery rate is the highest among contagious diseases, meaning it often clears up on its own within a few rounds. Despite being relatively mild, the contagious spread can affect the entire party if the infected cat is not isolated.

The Common Cold is the mildest of the contagious diseases, serving more as a nuisance than a serious threat. The All Stats Down debuff is temporary and the high recovery rate means it often clears before it causes major problems. If your cat contracts The Common Cold, it is not a crisis, but isolating the infected cat from the rest of the party is still wise to prevent unnecessary spread. Debuff cleansing at battle start removes the All Stats Down immediately.
