Bouncy gives the elite enemy two movement-disruption mechanics. First, when hit by a melee attack, it knocks the attacker back 1 tile through MeleeRevengeDamage with knockback. Second, any damage dealt to the Bouncy elite causes it to be knocked back at least 1 tile via MinimumKnockbackFromAllDamage. This creates a chaotic dynamic where both the attacker and the target bounce apart after every exchange, constantly disrupting positioning for both sides.

Bouncy is most disruptive on enemies that benefit from repositioning, such as ranged attackers that prefer distance or enemies near hazard tiles that can knock your cats into dangerous terrain. The constant knockback makes it extremely difficult to pin down the elite for sustained melee damage, since every hit pushes both parties apart. In tight rooms with environmental hazards like fire tiles, lava, or pits, the forced movement can push your cats into lethal positions.

Ranged attacks avoid triggering the melee knockback component entirely, making ranged classes the cleanest counter. If you must use melee, position your cats with walls behind them so the knockback has nowhere to push them. Abilities that root or anchor your cat in place can prevent the displacement. Be mindful of the battlefield layout, as Bouncy enemies near edges or hazards become significantly more dangerous. Knockback immunity from items or mutations also neutralizes the frustration entirely.
