Chan Hung

Chan Hung is a Monk-themed mini-boss found in The Lab (Act 3, Chapter 1) with 65 HP and a unique counter-reaction system. He does not simply take his turn — instead, he responds to every individual action the player takes with a specific counter: movement triggers him to move toward that cat, attacks trigger a melee strike from him, and spell or trinket use triggers a long-range line attack. He starts each fight with 1 Brace and can spend an action to gain Kinetic Spike.

His reaction system means that the more actions your party uses per turn, the more responses Chan Hung fires back. Minimizing total actions per round — using single high-value actions rather than multi-action combos — limits his output. Note that his attack reactions only trigger at melee range, and his spell reactions only fire when an enemy is in a cardinal direction from him.
