Enemy
Fotusjar
Fetus preserved in a jar, flung as a projectile.
Fötusjar is a glass-encased enemy from The Future chapter — a fetus preserved in a jar that serves as both creature and weapon. With 6–8 HP, it is immune to all magic damage and status effects, making it resistant to the majority of ability-based strategies. Its attack is a multi-hit melee strike. What makes Fötusjar most significant is its death: when the jar shatters, it releases Der Fötus as a free combat unit, creates a water tile at its position, and converts adjacent tiles into glass terrain.
The death terrain effects add hazards to the battlefield after the fact: water tiles conduct electricity and interact with various abilities, while glass tiles can shatter underfoot. Der Fötus emerges with its own distinct combat profile — a fast, aggressive fighter with fury swipes, an airstrike trigger that lands after its death, and a pull-bomb ability — meaning killing Fötusjar always produces a new and more mobile threat.
Physical damage is required to crack the jar since magic and status effects are entirely negated. Plan to kill Der Fötus in one burst after it emerges to prevent the post-death airstrike from landing on your formation. Be mindful of the terrain the shattering creates — don't position cats on the tile where the jar stands if you plan to finish it off soon, as the water spawn can create hazards for whoever is standing there.
