Its massive health pool and defensive mechanics make it a formidable wall that can anchor an entire enemy formation. The Triceratops appears alongside other dinosaurs in mixed Jurassic encounters.
The Triceratops has a wide 2x2 area attack that damages multiple adjacent tiles in a single swing, punishing clustered formations. It automatically counterattacks any unit that damages it, meaning every hit you land invites an immediate reprisal. Its Trample ability lets it barrel through units during movement, dealing damage and knocking back anything in its path. This combination of area attacks, counterattacks, and trample makes melee trading extremely unfavorable.
Ranged attacks are the safest approach, as they avoid the counterattack trigger if fired from outside its retaliation range.
