Turtle

Armored slow-moving summon with high defense.

Turtle is a familiar-type enemy encountered throughout all chapters of Mewgenics, with 1 to 10 HP, 3 damage, and only 1 movement. Despite its sluggish speed, the Turtle's signature attack compensates for its lack of mobility. It can also be summoned as an ally through the Druid class's Summon Turtle ability, making it one of the few enemies that doubles as a player-controlled familiar.

The Turtle's attack has a range of 2 tiles and applies knockback to its target while simultaneously propelling the Turtle forward one tile. This is identical to the Tank class's default Push Attack: dash forward one space, then melee with knockback. This self-advancing mechanic means the Turtle gradually closes ground on retreating cats even while attacking, and the knockback keeps its victim at arm's length. Over several turns, a Turtle can cross surprisingly large distances purely through offensive repositioning.

Champion Turtles have 20 HP and retain the same attack pattern with enhanced durability. The champion form is a reference to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Despite the name, the Turtle actually appears to be a tortoise, and internally it is classified as a type of Dog, which may be a nod to the Elden Ring community's habit of labeling every creature a dog.
