Psychic Set
Excess mana at the end of your turn reduces the cost of your next spells until you cast them.
The Psychic Set turns unspent mana into a discount on future spells, rewarding mana efficiency and strategic timing. If you deliberately hold mana back, you can significantly reduce the cost of expensive spells next turn — a system that synergizes with high-intelligence builds and burst-damage combos. Requires thoughtful mana management but offers powerful value for disciplined spellcasters.
Psychic Set pieces use telepathy and mind-power themed gear across head, neck, and face slots. The 3-piece bonus is a mana carry-over mechanic: any mana remaining at the end of your turn is converted to a discount on spell costs until those discounted spells are cast. The discount persists across turns, accumulating if you continue to hold mana without spending it. Each turn of withheld mana potentially saves you significant cost on your next big spell.
Psychic Set enables spell-casting strategies that would be impossible without it. High-cost abilities that normally require multiple turns of mana accumulation can be fired off sooner with accumulated discounts. The set rewards builds that have turns where they don't spend all their mana — physical action turns, movement-heavy turns, or setup rounds. Pairs well with Mage Set's +5 starting mana to ensure you start with surplus mana to convert into discounts from turn one. Less useful on builds that always spend all available mana every turn.
