The CHA -1 penalty is minor, making this an excellent defensive face piece for cats who want layered damage mitigation without a significant stat cost.

Combining 4 Shield with Brace and MissChance creates a three-layer defense: Shield absorbs the first 4 points of incoming damage, Brace reduces damage when the cat actively braces, and MissChance gives every attacker a chance to miss entirely before damage is even calculated. The CHA -1 is the only downside, making this the most stat-efficient defensive face piece for non-charisma builds.

The face Amoeba variant is the best option for frontline cats who need strong defensive coverage in the face slot. Compare it against Sacculina Carcini (5 Shield, SPD -1) depending on whether you prefer more Shield or evasion+brace layering.
