A blob of living jelly draped over the skull like an unwilling hat. This head armor variant provides 4 Shield, Brace to reduce incoming damage, and MissChance to give attackers a chance to miss entirely. The INT -1 penalty is the lightest downside of the three Amoeba variants, making the head version particularly attractive for non-intelligence-scaling cats who want solid defensive coverage in the head slot with minimal stat loss.

Compared to other Amoeba variants (face loses CHA -1, neck loses CON -1), the head variant losing INT -1 is the most forgiving penalty for physical-only builds. STR and DEX focused cats who don't cast spells can absorb INT -1 with essentially zero practical impact on their combat performance. For pure melee builds, head Amoeba provides the full defensive package at what amounts to zero meaningful cost.

For spellcasters who need INT, head Amoeba is the worst of the three variants since INT directly affects their effectiveness. For physical Butchers, Monks, or Muggers who ignore INT, the head Amoeba is frequently the best available head armor: 4 Shield + Brace + MissChance with no meaningful downside. Running all three Amoeba variants simultaneously creates an extremely durable tank with layered defensive options.
