Cap and Bells

Very rare head armor from the Clown set. Doubles both the passive effects and active effects of trinkets, at the cost of LCK -3. A jester's cap with a harsh price for extraordinary power — any trinket with a strong active or passive effect becomes twice as potent. Part of the Clown set alongside the Ruffle and Clown Makeup. With all three pieces the luck penalty reaches -9, so evaluate carefully whether your build can absorb that cost.

TrinketPassiveMultiplierBonus doubles the passive proc rate or magnitude of any trinket worn, while TrinketActiveEffectsMultiplierBonus doubles the effect of trinket-activated abilities or charges. Trinkets are often powerful standalone items, and doubling both their passive and active sides simultaneously creates enormous multiplicative value. The head slot is premium real estate, and the Cap and Bells spends it on trinket amplification rather than raw stats or combat passives.

The Cap and Bells is the centerpiece of any run that revolves around high-value trinkets. If the active trinket is one of the game's strongest — such as items with on-death effects, high-damage procs, or limited-use burst abilities — doubling both its passive and active output can be a run-defining effect. Assess your trinket situation carefully before committing: LCK -3 alone is significant, and -9 with the full Clown set is only worthwhile when the trinket being doubled is exceptional.
