Item
Cerebral Chip
Uncommon
Uncommon face armor from the Chip set. Reduces ability costs at the cost of INT -1 and CHA -1. As the face slot of the Chip set alongside the Spinal Chip and Ocular Chip, it stacks ability cost reduction across all three armor slots. The INT penalty becomes more significant for spell-scaling builds, so assess whether the cost reduction outweighs the lost spellpower for your specific ability lineup.
ManaCostReduction applies to the mana or resource cost of abilities, effectively extending the number of casts available in a fight. The face slot tends to hold strong defensive or offensive pieces, so the Cerebral Chip trades those benefits for action economy. CHA -1 is relevant if your cat relies on interactions or support abilities that scale with charisma. The face slot version is the middle piece of the Chip set and doesn't have additional bonuses beyond the shared set mechanic.
Most effective when paired with the Spinal Chip and Ocular Chip for the full triple-ManaCostReduction effect, enabling near-constant ability use throughout encounters. As a standalone face piece, it works best on cats with ability-heavy kits and physical stat scaling, minimizing the INT loss impact. Avoid pairing with INT-scaling offensive abilities unless the cost reduction generates enough extra casts to compensate for reduced per-cast damage.
