Citrus Berry

Citrus Berry is a consumable that heals the user for 25% of their max HP. It automatically activates when the holder drops below 50% HP.

The auto-activation threshold is the item's key mechanic: it fires without player input when HP crosses below 50%, acting as a passive safety net during combat. The heal amount scales with max HP, so higher-HP characters gain more absolute healing from each charge. It does not bypass Vurp, so characters with that disorder will convert the heal to damage instead — an important consideration.

Citrus Berry is strong on frontline characters who consistently dip below half health in extended fights, giving them reliable automatic recovery without requiring a turn. The 25% heal is significant on high-CON tanks but less impactful on low-HP characters. Avoid equipping it on Vurp characters entirely. It pairs well with Smelling Salts as complementary survivability layers: Citrus Berry keeps them above 0 HP, Smelling Salts rescues them if they fall.
