Charge

Gains {stacks} mana at the start of its next turn.

Charge is a mana generation buff that grants +1 Mana at the start of the next turn per stack. This provides a burst of mana that enables casting expensive spells earlier in combat or sustaining spell output over extended fights. Charge stacks are consumed when the mana is granted, making it a single-use mana boost per stack.

Charge pairs well with expensive high-impact spells that the cat might not otherwise afford early in combat. Multiple Charge stacks can provide a large mana surge, enabling powerful spell combos on the following turn. Charge also counteracts the mana drain from Mana Leeches and the cost increases from Hex by providing additional mana to work with.

For spellcaster builds with high Charisma (large mana pools), Charge helps reach the mana threshold for expensive spells quickly. Combined with Free Spell and Insight, Charge creates a comprehensive mana economy that supports sustained casting throughout combat. Charge is less valuable for melee-focused builds that rarely cast spells but can still be useful for occasional utility spell use.
