Coffin Armor

A suit of armor fashioned from a miniature coffin, worn around the neck. Shield:3 provides solid protection, and Thorns deals return damage to any enemy that strikes the wearer in melee. A reliable rare neck piece for frontline builds that want both defense and a melee deterrent without sacrificing any stat points.

Shield: 3 absorbs incoming hits before HP is reduced, while Thorns returns a portion of the damage from each hit back to the attacker. Unlike most Thorns items (Bad Splinters, Face Shards, Brambles) that impose a stat penalty for the passive, Coffin Armor's rare-tier offering comes with no negative stats — pure Shield plus Thorns with no trade-off. This makes it one of the cleaner defensive neck options available.

A straightforward choice for any frontliner who needs neck armor with a melee deterrent. Stacks with other Thorns sources (Bad Splinters at neck would compete for the same slot, but Face Shards at face or other armor slots stack separately). Particularly effective in boss encounters where the boss attacks repeatedly, accumulating Thorns damage over many hits. The lack of stat penalties makes it a safe equip on any character regardless of build.
