Crossbow

A rare ranged weapon with 6 uses that deals 6 damage, bypasses Shield defenses, and inflicts Bleed 1. The shield-ignoring property sets it apart from most ranged weapons — enemies with Shield normally absorb or reduce incoming damage, but the Crossbow punches straight through. The Bleed DoT adds sustained damage on top. Part of the Wood set.

Shield bypass is uniquely valuable against enemies that use Shield as their primary defensive mechanic — enemies with high Shield would otherwise reduce the 6 damage to almost nothing, but the Crossbow deals its full 6 regardless. Bleed 1 on each hit stacks across multiple shots, building DoT pressure over the 6 available uses. Against unshielded enemies it's still a solid 6-damage ranged weapon with Bleed.

An excellent pick in encounters with shielded enemies, particularly bosses that use Shield phases. Part of the Wood set for builds running multiple Wood items. The combination of consistent ranged damage, Bleed stacking, and shield-ignore makes it one of the most versatile weapons in the Wood set for varied enemy compositions.
