Cursed Hairball

Cursed Hairball is a trinket that applies Poison to the wearer as part of its curse, while also granting AddStatusToBasicAttack to spread a status effect on each basic attack. It is a self-harmful item that requires either strong poison resistance or healing to run effectively, rewarding builds that can neutralize the self-damage while passing debuffs to enemies.

The Poison passive continuously deals damage to the wearer over time, creating a persistent HP drain. AddStatusToBasicAttack then lets the wearer spread a different status to enemies with every basic attack. This creates a constant trade of taking poison damage in exchange for inflicting debuffs outward. Without poison resistance or healing, the self-damage can become unmanageable in long fights.

Best in builds that mitigate self-poison through resist mechanics, high regen, or leech effects. Characters with innate Poison Immunity or those who can convert the poison into a buff can run this freely. The status-on-hit passive is strong enough that surviving the self-poison is worth planning around. Avoid on squishy builds that will be rapidly drained without ways to offset the ongoing damage, or in extended dungeon segments without healing access.
