Frayed Wires

Frayed Wires is a rare electrical weapon that delivers uncontrolled shocks to anything the wires touch. It deals Lightning damage and may randomly arc to nearby targets, applying Shock or Stun to multiple enemies in proximity. An unreliable but occasionally devastating electrical hazard.

The arc behavior of Frayed Wires means the electrical discharge doesn't always go where intended, potentially hitting multiple enemies but also risking arcing to allied cats. Wet enemies take amplified Lightning damage from the frayed shock, making Frayed Wires particularly powerful when combined with water-element items. The Stun application on shock adds brief crowd control on top of the damage.

Frayed Wires rewards builds that can control the positioning of both allies and enemies, ensuring arcs hit enemies rather than friends. In lightning-themed builds, it contributes electrical damage alongside the Tesla Cannon and Car Battery. Use it in wide-open rooms where enemy clustering creates multiple arc targets while your allied cats maintain safe distance.
