A shimmering, bioluminescent pelt worn around the neck that seems almost alive. This rare version provides passive Health Regen each turn, giving the wearer steady recovery throughout a fight. Its more unusual property is SpawnThingOnDamage: whenever the wearer takes a hit, something spawns onto the attacker — potentially spreading hazards, creatures, or debilitating effects to enemies who target you. Cats built to absorb damage can turn this into a reliable offensive trigger just by standing in the line of fire.
HealthRegenUp increases the rate of passive healing per turn, which compounds with the damage-tanking strategy required to proc SpawnThingOnDamage. The more damage the wearer takes, the more spawns occur, but the regen partially offsets the HP loss. The rare rarity version of Glowing Pelt has a more reactive mechanic (spawn on damage) compared to the very_rare version (ChanceToRevive), making this one better suited to sustained attrition rather than miraculous survival.
Ideal on high-CON tanks who regularly take many hits per fight, since the spawn trigger fires repeatedly throughout the battle. Pairs well with other regen sources to sustain the health drain from incoming attacks. Compare to Pinworm (SpawnThingOnDamage trinket) — Glowing Pelt adds regen on top of the spawn trigger, making it more self-sustaining for the same mechanic. The combination of regen and spawn-on-hit makes this one of the more complete tank neck options.
