Health Regen

Regenerate {stacks} health at the end of its turn.

Health Regen is a sustain buff that restores 1 HP per stack at the end of the unit's turn. Multiple stacks provide proportionally more healing, making it a reliable and predictable source of recovery. Health Regen is persistent and does not decay, providing ongoing healing for the duration of combat as long as the buff remains active.

Health Regen is affected by Exhaustion, which reduces all health gain by 1 per Exhaustion stack. As Exhaustion escalates, Health Regen becomes less effective, eventually being reduced to 0 healing per turn. The Diminishing Health Regen variant heals the same amount per stack but decreases its own stack count by 1 each turn, providing strong initial healing that weakens over time. The Healthy elite buff grants +3 Health Regen to enemies along with +20 unfilled max health.

Health Regen pairs well with Constitution Up (which increases the health pool being regenerated into) and Brace (which reduces incoming damage, making the regeneration more impactful relative to damage taken). Against enemies with Health Regen, applying Poison is effective since Poison damage is persistent and counteracts the regeneration. The No Health Regen debuff completely disables health regeneration, shutting down this sustain strategy entirely.
