Grenade

A rare single-use weapon that explodes for 12 damage and strips 5 random buffs off whatever it hits. The AoE damage alone is strong, but the buff-shredding is the real value — enemies loaded with defensive or offensive buffs become dramatically easier to handle after taking a Grenade. One use total, so pick your moment. Particularly effective against elite enemies or bosses that stack a lot of buffs.

The 5 random buff removal is significant in fights against elite enemies that arrive pre-loaded with buffs. Removing Shield, Armor, Damage buffs, or status immunities in one action can turn a difficult fight into a manageable one. The 12 AoE damage also punishes groups, making it ideal when you want both burst and debuffing simultaneously. The random element means you can't guarantee which buffs are stripped.

Save for elite encounters, bosses, or fights where a buff-stacked enemy is the primary obstacle. Don't waste it on generic enemies that have no buffs to strip. Works best as an opener against a dangerous buffed target to strip defenses before your team follows up with full damage. Pairs with the Ember trinket, which amplifies explosion effects.
