Magic Mirror

Magic Mirror (repaired) is the rare reward for completing the Magic Mirror sidequest. It reflects incoming projectiles back at attackers and spawns a Spookie enemy ally when the wearer is downed, meaning even getting killed contributes to the fight. The broken version's team-wide bad luck curse is gone. Strong on frontline cats who draw a lot of ranged fire — the projectile reflection punishes enemies who spam long-range attacks, and the death spawn ensures the slot still contributes after the cat falls.

Projectile reflection turns ranged enemies into an asset — every shot aimed at the wearer bounces back at the shooter, punishing enemies for ranged aggression and potentially stacking significant return damage over multiple rounds. The Spookie spawn on death adds an extra unit to the battlefield when the wearer falls, keeping enemy attention divided even after the cat is gone. Spookies are modest fighters but useful for tempo preservation.

Magic Mirror (repaired) is best on a cat that deliberately draws fire — either a designated tank with high HP and Shield, or a cat who has forced-aggro effects. The Spookie spawn is a nice insurance policy but is most valuable in fights where every extra unit matters, such as late-game battles with powerful enemy compositions. Pair with items or passives that increase the wearer's threat rating to ensure the reflection triggers frequently.
