Mother's Mask

Uncommon face armor from the Mother set. Spawns a minion at the start of battle and upon the wearer's death. Part of the Mother set alongside the Necklace and Hat — each piece spawns the same minion twice, so the full set generates up to six summons across a fight (three at start, three on death). Strong for builds that rely on overwhelming enemies with numbers.

SpawnOnBattleStart and SpawnThingOnDeath trigger independently per armor piece, meaning the Mask contributes its own pair of summons regardless of what other armor is equipped. As the face slot, the Mother's Mask holds a competitive position against face armors with high shield or offensive stats, but its summon output can outvalue those alternatives in encounters where minion pressure outweighs raw stat differences.

Works best on cats positioned as sacrificial or expendable frontliners where the on-death spawn ensures the cat's fall is always productive. Combining with the Mother's Necklace and Hat creates a loadout where the wearer is essentially a walking spawn engine. Even on non-tank cats, the battle-start spawn provides a free ally that can absorb hits, flank, or trigger additional passive effects from other summoner items in the run.
