Princess Hat

Princess Hat is a sidequest head armor that provides a generous +10 Shield but inflicts the Fragile status, preventing the wearer from taking any action except Move. A powerful defensive piece with a crippling catch — the wearer becomes a living shield that cannot fight back. Complete the sidequest to earn the Used Princess Hat, which keeps a reduced +6 Shield without the Fragile restriction.

Fragile is a complete combat lockout — the wearer can reposition but cannot attack, use abilities, or use items. In practice, this means the Princess Hat wearer is a mobile Shield wall that draws aggro and absorbs damage for the team while providing zero offensive contribution. The +10 Shield is the highest raw Shield on any single head armor in the game, making the defensive contribution genuinely significant despite the Fragile restriction.

Princess Hat is best used on a cat who was already a passive contributor — or in a party where four other cats can carry the damage while one absorbs hits. During the sidequest phase, the Fragile lockout is the price of admission. Complete the sidequest as fast as possible to earn the Used Princess Hat, which preserves defensive value while restoring full combat capability.
