Rat Hat

The Rat Hat is a common head armor in the Rat set that starts every battle with a charmed Pinky fighting on your side. Pinkies are weak enemies normally, but a charmed one contributes attacks and presence from turn one at no action cost. Each Rat set piece — hat, mask, and necklace — spawns its own Pinky, so the full set opens every fight with three charmed Pinkies on your side.

As a standalone head armor at common rarity, Rat Hat occupies your head slot entirely for a single Pinky summon per battle. That's a poor defensive trade — unlike the Scrap Metal Hat or other common head armors that provide Shield, Rat Hat gives zero protection. Its value is purely in the summon mechanic and its contribution to the full Rat set, where three Pinkies together create genuinely disruptive early-battle chaos.

Commit to the Rat Hat only if you plan to complete the set or if the Pinky as a solo distraction is genuinely useful for your run. Cats that don't rely on head armor for survival — high-Speed cats that dodge frequently, or cats with other strong defensive tools in other slots — can afford the defensive vacuum more easily. Pair Rat Hat with Bird Feed or Colostomy Bag for a summon-heavy swarm build.
