Rat Mask

The Rat Mask is the face armor piece of the Rat set, spawning a charmed Pinky at the start of each battle. It provides no defensive stats on its own — the value is entirely the free familiar at battle start. Combined with the Rat Hat and Rat Necklace, the full set fields three charmed Pinkies simultaneously, giving you a small but free swarm every fight.

In the face slot, Rat Mask occupies space that could hold a defensive or utility face armor. The single Pinky it contributes is weakest in isolation — in a two or three-piece Rat set context it becomes part of a coordinated early-battle presence. The charmed Pinkies act immediately at battle start, potentially drawing initial attacks or dealing opening damage before the main party engages.

Pick up Rat Mask if you're building the Rat set or if you already have the hat and want the second Pinky before hunting down the necklace. Avoid it as a standalone face armor choice since the zero-defense profile is a real liability in the slot — face armor usually contributes something protective, and Rat Mask provides nothing in that department outside of the set context.
