Rubber Mask

A common Rubber set face armor exclusive to The Junkyard. Grants +2 Shield and automatically knocks back any unit that contacts you by 2 tiles. The face slot entry in the Rubber set trio, alongside Tire and Rubber Hat. Wearing the full set gives passive area-denial in all slots — enemies trying to engage in melee consistently get pushed away with each piece active.

Face armor covering the contact-knockback passive is unusual — most face armor focuses on stat bonuses or vulnerability procs. The Rubber Mask's knockback fires on the same trigger as Tire and Rubber Hat, meaning the stacked effect isn't "three knockbacks at once" but rather the same passive reinforced across equipment. Even as a standalone piece, the +2 Shield and contact repulsion is useful for any class that frequently gets surrounded.

Pairs naturally with Tire and Rubber Hat for a complete Rubber set. Even without the full set, the face slot is worth filling with the Rubber Mask in The Junkyard if you're taking melee pressure and don't have a better option. The knockback utility is especially valuable on builds that want to keep distance or control enemy flow into specific positions.
