Spider Injector

Spider Injector is a sidequest head armor that applies Infested 4 to all allies at the start of each battle — filling your own team with spiders. This self-infestation can fuel builds that benefit from allies taking damage or spreading effects. Complete the sidequest to earn Spider Baby, which flips the effect onto enemies instead.

Infested 4 on all allies is significantly more intense than the Spider Baby's Infested 1 on enemies — each ally starts each fight with 4 spider parasites that will hatch and deal internal damage throughout combat. This is primarily a liability unless your build specifically benefits from having spiders hatch on allies, such as mechanics that trigger on spider deaths or builds that use the Infested status as a resource.

Spider Injector's self-harm mechanic is the price of the sidequest. Equip it on a cat with high HP and natural healing so the spider damage is manageable, and complete the sidequest as quickly as possible. Spider Baby is a strictly better outcome that redirects the Infested application from your team to the enemy team, making this one of the most satisfying sidequest-to-reward flips in the game.
