Steven

One of two weapons simply named Steven, this very rare ranged weapon lobs a projectile that inflicts Petrify on the target, freezing them in place. The RELOAD condition triggers when you kill a rock, providing an unusual but thematic reload mechanic. Part of the Steven item set, which when fully assembled renames your cat to Steven.

Petrify is a powerful status that completely immobilizes an enemy for its duration, making them unable to act or move. The rock-kill RELOAD condition is quirky but workable in stages with stone enemies or rocky terrain, though planning around it requires awareness of enemy composition. Petrified enemies are also often vulnerable to follow-up abilities that interact with frozen or immobile targets.

This version of Steven is the ranged CC option compared to the other Steven weapon. Builds that rely on controlling enemy positioning, such as those with area-of-effect abilities or trap setups, benefit greatly from reliable Petrify. Collecting both Stevens and completing the Steven item set is a fun build goal, and naming your cat Steven is a worthwhile trade for the set bonuses.
