Immobile

Cannot move.

Immobile is a control debuff that roots the afflicted unit in place, preventing all movement while still allowing it to attack and use abilities. Unlike Stun or Petrify, an immobilized unit can still fight, but it cannot reposition, making it vulnerable to AoE attacks and unable to chase or retreat.

Immobile is particularly dangerous for melee cats that need to close distance to attack. A melee cat immobilized out of attack range is effectively disabled, since it can do nothing productive until the root expires. Ranged cats and spellcasters handle Immobile much better, as they can continue contributing from wherever they are rooted. Immobile is applied by various vine, web, and grapple mechanics, and is a common hazard in areas with plant-type or spider-type enemies.
