They grant +3 Brace and a peculiar property: the wearer counts as a Rock, enabling synergies with any mechanics that interact with rock-type entities or terrain. A surprisingly niche but potent identity shift packaged in a questionable roadside purchase.

Brace is a defensive stat that reduces incoming damage by a flat amount, so +3 Brace means every hit deals 3 less damage than it otherwise would. Combined with existing Shield values, this creates a strong damage floor that makes the wearer noticeably harder to kill through sustained attacks. The Rock identity is a unique mechanical designation that could interact with items, passives, or terrain effects that specifically reference rocks or stone-type entities.

Truck Stop Pills work best on frontline tanks who already have high CON and Shield, where the additional Brace pushes them into extremely durable territory. The Rock identity is worth building around if your run includes items or abilities that interact with stone-type tags — check the Pebble, Rock item set, and any passives referencing stone targets. As a pure trinket, the +3 Brace alone is competitive with most trinket options at the same tier.
