USA Shield

Shield weapons in Mewgenics occupy the weapon slot but provide defensive benefits in addition to their offensive use, making them unique hybrids. The USA Shield's patriotic branding suggests a bonus to nearby allies or a rally effect similar to the American Flag. High CON cats benefit most from the defensive component while still dealing meaningful damage on offensive swings.

The USA Shield works best on a designated tank cat who sits at the front and alternates between bashing enemies and blocking hits. It pairs well with the American Flag for a full patriotic loadout, and any passive abilities that trigger on block or shield use amplify its defensive value. An excellent choice when you need both damage and survivability from a single weapon slot.
