Used Hat

A head armor found in The Alley, part of the Used set. It offers +1 Shield with no special effects — the most straightforward head slot coverage available in the early game.

Like Used Glasses, this hat provides flat Shield with zero complexity: no tags, no procs, no vulnerabilities. The head slot is frequently filled by hats with meaningful passives or stat bonuses in later areas, making the Used Hat a pure stopgap. Its value lies entirely in being better than nothing when you're running unprotected in The Alley.

Grab it if your head slot is empty early on, but replace it as soon as a better option appears. Contributes to the Used set count if you're wearing multiple pieces, which may matter for set completion. In low-difficulty runs it's perfectly serviceable — in harder content, the flat +1 Shield falls off quickly and should be upgraded at the first opportunity.
