NPC
Tink
Vendor — Breeding Information
Ferguson Rodney Tinkles, known simply as Tink, runs the local cat beauty pageants and has a knack for photography. Unlocked right after the tutorial when Frank builds the pipe to Boon Country, Tink accepts only Kittens: cats born on the same day you offer them. Your first donation of just 1 kitten earns you the Fancy Bow, a one-of-a-kind Legendary head item. After that, Tink always requires 10 kittens per upgrade level, with 7 unique rewards and a repeatable endless tier that pays 25 coins per batch. Despite mentioning "No uggos," he will accept inbred kittens regardless of birth defects, mutations, or conditions.
Tink's rewards are arguably the most important information tools in the game. At level 2, he unlocks the ability to view base stats and bonus stats as separate values, which is critical because only base stats are passed down through breeding. Level 3 provides the inbreeding icon and family tree view, letting you track ancestral lines and avoid genetic penalties. Level 4 reveals sexuality flags and the libido icon via the Gaydar ability, essential for planning successful breeding pairs. Levels 5 through 7 add the ability to manually tag cat names with symbols, visibility into aggression levels, and friendship or enemy indicators between cats. By the time you exhaust all of Tink's upgrades at 61 total kittens, you will have full transparency into every hidden stat that affects your breeding program.
Tink should be one of your first NPC priorities. The base stat visibility unlocked at level 2 alone transforms how you evaluate cats for breeding, since bonus stats from items and furniture can mask a cat's true genetic potential. Keeping a steady supply of kittens flowing to Tink is easy if you maintain active breeding pairs and donate newborns before the day ends. Lore-wise, Tink is heavily implied to be formerly conjoined twins with Butch, separated by Dr. Beanies at some point before the game begins. Both share Gemini zodiac signs, both bear facial scars (Tink covers his with makeup), and in The Rift they appear fused together as the combined enemy "Butch and Tink." His name may be a corruption of the word "twink," fitting his flamboyant personality and beauty pageant obsession.
