Confusion

When performing an action, 25% chance to instead hit itself equal to its strength.

Confusion is an accuracy debuff that causes the afflicted unit's attacks to potentially target random units, including allies. A confused cat may swing at a teammate instead of an enemy, or use an ability in an unintended direction. The randomness makes Confusion one of the most disruptive debuffs in the game.

Confusion is particularly dangerous on high-damage cats, since their misdirected attacks can seriously wound allies. It is applied by psychic enemies, certain Moon-themed encounters, and some disorienting terrain effects. The best counterplay is to either cleanse it immediately or isolate confused cats away from allies so that misfired attacks cannot cause friendly fire. AoE abilities on a confused cat are especially risky, as they can hit your own team.
