Status Effect
Elite Buff: Lucky
+3 [img:lck]. +10% Crit Chance. +10% Dodge Chance.
Internal engine status effect. This is the status applied to elite enemies with the Lucky modifier. Lucky increases the enemy's critical hit chance and favorable random outcomes. Lucky elites land crits more frequently, creating dangerous damage spikes that can down a cat unexpectedly.
The increased crit rate makes Lucky elites unpredictable. A cat that appears safe at moderate health can suddenly be downed by a critical hit. This randomness makes Lucky one of the more frustrating elite modifiers, as it can punish even careful play. Defensive buffs that mitigate damage spikes (Shield, Brace, Holy Shield) are more valuable against Lucky elites than evasion-based defenses.
Maintain high health on all cats within the Lucky elite's attack range to survive potential crit spikes. Luck Down debuffs on the enemy can reduce their crit rate if available. The boss variant, Elite Buff: Lucky (Boss), provides an even higher crit bonus.
