Status Effect

Elite Buff: Undying (Sub)

Revives to 50% health at the end of the round.

Internal engine status effect. This is the sub-variant of the Undying elite buff, likely applied to the revived form or secondary phase of an Undying elite. Undying prevents the enemy from dying once, reviving them with health when they would otherwise be killed.

This sub-variant may govern the revived form's reduced stats or altered behavior after triggering the revive. Once the original Undying buff triggers the revival, the Sub status tracks the post-revival state, potentially preventing additional revivals or modifying the enemy's capabilities in their second life. The revived enemy typically has lower health than the original.

When fighting Undying enemies, plan for the revival by saving burst damage or crowd control for the second phase. The revived form with Sub status is weaker, so finishing it off quickly after revival prevents the enemy from getting additional value from its second life. The player-facing equivalent is Auto Revive, which functions similarly for your own cats.
