Every unit sees this as an enemy and will attack it with priority.
Ostracized is an allegiance debuff that causes the afflicted unit's own team members to perceive it as an enemy. Ostracized units are attacked by their allies with priority, meaning former teammates will actively target and attempt to kill the ostracized unit before engaging actual enemies. This inverted targeting priority makes Ostracized one of the most disruptive allegiance effects in the game.
Unlike Charmed (which switches the unit to the enemy team) or Madness (which makes it attack everyone), Ostracized keeps the unit on its original team but makes allies hostile toward it. The ostracized unit itself can still act normally and attack enemies, but it will be under constant fire from its own team. This creates a uniquely punishing situation where the unit is effectively fighting on two fronts.
Ostracized is persistent and does not decay on its own. When applied to your cats, the priority targeting from allies means the ostracized cat will be attacked every turn by your other cats, wasting their actions on friendly fire. When applied to enemies, Ostracized turns their allies against them, creating internal conflict that divides enemy attention and damage between the ostracized unit and your team. Cleansing Ostracized quickly is essential to prevent allied cats from damaging each other.
